Friend Hein is my personal project aimed to imagine how different people from one initial environment can become. It tells about a decade of 4 pilots’ lives, which in majority falls on the times when any aviation was strictly forbidden. What would the characters choose outside their comfort zone if none of their actions can be canceled?
The project development began in November 2022. It started as a try to create some original characters and draw them but has grown into something more. I used both verbal and illustrative ways to tell the story.
